Gogobot bucket list: Diamond Head, Seattle Underground, Moscow
Diamond Head State Monument in Honolulu took the top honor as the best natural wonder of the world in Gogobot’s annual Travelers’ Favorite Awards this week.
Next came Grand Canyon National Park, Muir Woods, Old Faithful Geyser, and Gullfoss, a three-tiered waterfall in Iceland.
Best guided tours were the Seattle Underground, the Alcatraz Cruise, the Architecture River Cruise in Chicago, the Pacific Whale Foundation whale-watching trip in Hawaii, and Shakespeare’s Globe Theater in London.
It’s the first time the awards include natural wonders and guided tours; previously they only rated hotels, destinations, and restaurants.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas was voted the best hotel, followed by the Fairmont San Francisco, the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, and the Peninsula Hong Kong.
Moscow, San Antonio, Edinburgh, Kyoto, and, would you believe, Pittsburgh were named as the top Rising Star destinations.
