Golden Tulip Hotels enters deal with Cendant
Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts signed an agreement to provide their 270 worldwide properties with access to Cendant’s full spectrum of distribution products and services.
The relationship ensures that Cendant TDS’ various travel distribution channels will have access to specially negotiated rates for Golden Tulip’s inventory of more than 43,000 hotel rooms.
These channels include Galileo’s 44,000 travel agency customers, CheapTickets.com, Net Group, and Lodging.com.
The special rates will become available later this year through HotelClub.com and RatesToGo.com, two accommodation-only consumer Web sites acquired by Cendant TDS this year, according to Cendant.
Cendant will be able to provide its customers with greater access to rooms not only at Golden Tulip, but also its alliance partner, TOP International, which has 390 properties worldwide, the company said.
Golden Tulip officials say the flexibility of the program allows the chain of hotels to retain control over the distribution, pricing and yield management of their rates.
