Golf day success for FHA
A Family Holiday Association Golf Day, organised with TravelMole and Citybond Suretravel, raised over £7,000 for the charity.
Played at the Kingswood Club in Surrey, 47 golfers took part.
FHA events manager Michelle Shepherd said: "This is the first industry golf day of the season and we would like to say a huge thank you to our headline partners Citybond Suretravel and TravelMole, together with our wonderful sponsors International Passenger Protection and Travel Insurance Facilities.
"Without them, it wouldn’t be such a big success and we hope it will only get bigger in future years."
The wining team was Holiday Extras, pictured above, scoring 87 points, and the individual winner was Ashley Close, also from the Holiday Extras team, with 37 points.
There were also prizes for Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin. These went to Angus Chisholm and Matt Atkins respectively.
The proceeds will be used by the FHA to help more struggling families get a break in 2016.
The charity is also coming to the end of its ‘500 for 500’ campaign. Over the last year it has been asking 500 friends in the industry to pledge or donate £500.
So far it has reached over 373 pledges. To join the 500 club or find out more, email [email protected]
