The Sheraton on the Park, Sydney debuted The Link@Sheraton, a new way for guests to keep up to date, at an informative trade launch earlier this week.

The Link@Sheraton is a state-of-the-art multi media area where business and leisure travellers can connect with their office and home in a comfortable environment,” said Amanda Elder, Director of Sales and Marketing, Sheraton on the Park.

The Sheraton on the Park, the group’s flagship property in Australia/Pacific, is the first hotel in the region to offer a secure and enjoyable area available 24/7 where guests can work, relax or just hang out, she said.

The Link@Sheraton in the Sydney hotel features six Sony VAIO computers with complimentary Internet access.  As well, the dedicated lobby area offers a boardroom table and designer chairs for business discussions, a 46 in. High Definition Sony Bravia LCD television and a selection of international and domestic business and leisure publications.

An extensive range of food and beverages options are offered around the clock.

The Link@Sheraton will be progressively introduced to other Sheratons in the region with “an island property” expected to be the next hotel to offer this innovation in guest service, said Ms Elder.

While the newest property in the group, the Westin Auckland, Lighter Quay won’t be equipped with this facility when it opens its doors on June 18, it’s anticipated that The Link@Sheraton will be introduced to this prestigious 173 room waterfront property shortly.

The innovative Link@Sheraton follows the introduction of the Sheraton Warm Welcome Programme which features a Lobby Ambassador.

This important first point of contact is stationed in the hotel lobby to greet and assist guests at key times during the day, she said.

During the launch and update, the trade and media also previewed the recently refurbished Royal Suite.

International visionary designer, Joseph Pang combined “chocolate Wenge timber with warm biscuit toned fabrics and ruby red leather to create the city’s newest and most up to date suite”.

Other highlights include large plasma screen televisions in the living room and master bedroom that are teamed with Bose sound systems, an iPod docking station, DVD players, a Calacatta marble bathroom, a marble and timber vanity with integrated LCD TV screen and a large spa bath and shower with chrome European tap ware.
