Gooding rallies the troops
London City Airport CEO Richard Gooding issued a rallying cry at Business Travel Market yesterday when he encouraged delegates to lobby the government on APD, runways and economic regulation.
The aviation grandee warned that there was a real chance of foreign hubs like Madrid taking trade away from UK airports if proper government support to the industry was not given.
Making his speech at London’s Excel exhibition centre, he added that the travel industry had a good pedigree in successful lobbying and now was the time to join lobby groups and make the trade’s voice heard in Westminster.
