Grab partners with Indonesia to boost tourism
Southeast Asia’ largest ride sharing service Grab has teamed up with Indonesia’s tourism ministry to help strengthen tourism service delivery across the archipelago.
Grab will partner on a range of co-branding initiatives as part of the Wonderful Indonesia brand.
Indonesia is ramping up marketing efforts after a series of powerful earthquakes stalled its tourism growth in the past two months.
The Grab app will run promotions and destination content including restaurant recommendations.
The app will also include a translation function to help foreign visitors communicate easier with drivers via in-app text chat.
Aso, the GrabCar Plus Wonderful Indonesia service will connect travellers with Grab’s five star rated drivers to help tourists explore destinations more seamlessly.
The partnership will also see a new co-branded car hire service launched called GrabCar Rent Wonderful Indonesa.
Grab recently expanded its GrabFood delivery service into three new cities – Yogyakarta, Semarang and Palembang.
