Greentraveller launches  Guide to the islands of Naxos and the Small Cyclades, Greece

The Greentraveller Media Group and the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO UK & Ireland) have published an online guide to Naxos and the Small Cyclades, Greece.

Greentraveller’s Guide to Naxos and the Small Cyclades is an online guide to over 50 recommendations for where to stay, eat and what to do on the islands.

Written and researched by Greentraveller’s Florence Fortnam, the guide focuses on some of the top places to stay, from old stone houses tucked away in whitewashed villages, to beachside studios and contemporary glass structures overlooking Naxos Town.

The Guide features some of the best spots to find local seasonal food, including dishes such as cuttlefish flavoured with oregano, crispy pies stuffed with vlita (wild greens) and Naxian cheeses, Patatato – wild goat stew – flavoured with cinnamon. The Guide also encourages readers to explore the ancient heritage of the islands, from the magnificent Portara standing tall at the entrance to Naxos Town – the emblem of Naxos and the region’s most visited site – to Naxos’ very own mini Acropolis, the Temple of Demeter. Also included are tips on where to find the best outdoor adventure activities, from kite-surfing, sea-kayaking and windsurfing to climbing, mountain biking and guided walking tours.

Greentraveller has also produced a short video to accompany the online guide. This high impact, inspirational video showcases some of the best experiences on the islands:http:// https://vimeo.com/178175523
