Guest dies in fall on Virgin Voyages cruise
A Virgin Voyages cruise passenger died after falling from a stateroom balcony into a lower deck.
It collided with another passenger on the lower deck who was not badly injured.
It happened just after departing PortMiami.
Following the incident, the ship returned to port.
“This passenger went over their balcony and despite receiving immediate medical attention, has passed away,” Virgin Voyages said.
The passenger who died has not been publicly named.
Virgin’s Valient Lady has since departed again from Miami on its scheduled cruise with some amendments to its itinerary.
