Hawaiian Airlines announces new round of job cuts

Thursday, 17 Jul, 2025 0

Hawaiian Airlines is set to lay off more workers in the coming months.

It is the third round of layoffs since the merger with Alaska Air.

The airline delivered a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice to more than 250 Honolulu based noncontract workers.

Some of these are expected to go in September.

It doesn’t affect any Hawaiian unionized workers, a spokesperson said.

The airline made some job cuts previously in late 2024 and again earlier this year

The affected workers were notified some time ago.

“These employees have been aware of this milestone and have done meaningful work to integrate our airlines in the first year of our combination, helping us deliver greater value,” Hawaiian said.

“We are supporting everyone through their career transition with both a retention bonus and a severance package.”
