Hawaiian Airlines says loyalty points will now last forever
Hawaiian Airlines has announced mileage points will now never expire.
Now, members of the HawaiianMiles loyalty program do not need to use points every 18 months to maintain their current points balance.
"Removing mileage expiration is one of many changes we’re making to better serve our guests and members," said Avi Mannis, Hawaiian’s SVP of Marketing.
"The hard times we have gone through as an airline has challenged us to ask ourselves how we can be an even better airline."
Like most airlines, the points expiry rule had been suspended since last year due to the limited options for travel.
It first suspended points expiry in March 2020.
Additionally, Hawaiian has launched the ‘Endless Hawaii’ sweepstakes contest, which offers customers the chance to win one million HawaiianMiles that will never expire.
The contest is live until 25 April 2021.
