Hilton has opened the Sanya Yazhou Bay Resort, the first Curio Collection property in Greater China and Asia Pacific.

The Curio Collection is an ‘exclusive, upper upscale’ brand of more than 35 distinctive hotels and resorts around the world.

Located on the West Coast of Hainan Island’s southernmost city, the 267-room hotel is a short drive from Dongtian Park, Nanshan Temple and the unique Tianya Haijiao.

It is a 25-minute drive from the Sanya Phoenix International Airport and 35 km away from the Sanya city centre.

Rooms include large soaking tubs and panoramic views of the sea, pool or tropical gardens.

There’s also a 2,000 square meter swimming pool, beach access, kids’ club and game room for adults.

"Over the years, Hilton’s footprint has strengthened across China, allowing us to better cater to both business and leisure travelers," said Qian Jin, area president, Greater China & Mongolia, Hilton.

"We recently celebrated the opening of our 100th hotel in China, and the opening of our first Curio Collection property marks yet another exciting milestone in our Hilton China story – which includes more than 270 hotels in the pipeline."

There are two restaurants and three bars, including a swim-up bar.
