Historic Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge reopens after wildfires
The historic Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has now reopened following weeks of prep work after the wildfires.
The hotel updated its website, acknowledging the property ‘may look different,’ however most of its landmark structures remain untouched.
Guests staying this autumn will directly support rebuilding efforts in the community, it says.
It said 100% of resort fees from all October 2024 guest room bookings will go toward local rebuilding efforts.
The hotel’s Symphony Under the Stars event on October 19, 2024, will serve as a celebration of the reopening, with proceeds going directly to the Jasper community.
The hotel has a full list of services, shops, activities and attractions open in Jasper on its website.
Fire damage was sustained at two guest cabins and some workers’ housing as well as operational buildings.
These included an engineering and golf maintenance shed.
