Holiday Extras disputes rising airport parking costs
Holiday Extras has hit back at claims that airport parking is more expensive than ever, saying some car parks actually cost less.
It said while long-stay prices at Gatwick have risen from £51.80 in 2012, to £82.29 this year for eight days parking, others have stayed the same or dropped in price.
At Manchester Airport, eight days parking remains the same price as in 2012 at £55.99, while at Stansted Airport, the cost of long-stay parking has actually decreased by 37% for the same time span.
Matthew Pack, CEO of Holiday Extras, said: ‘We advise holiday travellers to avoid using short stay parking if they’re going away for eight days or over. Short stay parking is specifically designed for the convenience of people who need to be close to the airport to meet someone, who are going for a short-break or fast-turnaround business trip."
