Holiday Extras launches another awards ceremony for the travel industry

Friday, 29 May, 2009 0

Holiday Extras is launching its own travel awards, claiming they will be the “biggest and fairest”.

The travel add-ons company is asking its 3.1 million customers to vote in 10 categories, ranging from best UK airport, best airport hotel and best airline, to the airline with the best cabin crew and those recommended as most family-friendly.

Only Holiday Extras customers travelling via a UK airport will be eligible to cast votes.

Voting will take place until September 30 with winners announced at a ceremony in London on November 9.

Managing editor Mike Whiting said: "As only customers can vote, the awards will highlight which companies are really giving travellers what they want."
