Hotel chain offering fast food, room service style
Everyone knows about fast food. But is Four Seasons about to usher in super-fast room service?
The hotel chain recently launched 15-Minute Room Service at 86 hotels and resorts worldwide.
Some hotels are offering full meals while others are serving a la carte options.
There’s an emphasis on items taken “to go,” tailored to clear airport security.
"Ideally, every meal would be enjoyed at leisure, but at times we really just need to grab a bite quickly – and there's no reason that it can't be freshly made with quality ingredients, and entirely delicious," Christopher Hunsberger, executive vice president of global product and innovation for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said in a statement.
The offered food is more than a burger and fries. An example:
At the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, one dish includes cheese, olives and sliced chorizo with an Arizona wine. A to-go lunch includes a tequila-lime chicken wrap with slaw, kettle chips, iced tea and a chocolate chip cookie.
The new service should prove popular. The only question is whether other hotels follow the trend?
