Hotel of the Week: Citadines Apart’Hotel, Westminster

Friday, 31 Jan, 2013 0

You’re in the heart of London but you wouldn’t know it. TravelMole’s Graham McKenzie stays overnight at the Citadines Apart’Hotel, Westminster.

Located just a few small steps from Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square and just a short walk from the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey you will find the oasis of the Citadines apartment hotel.

The fact you are also very close to Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park and the National Portrait Gallery, which houses one of the greatest European art collections in the world, just adds to the attraction.

Many people prefer to have the control that an apartment offers over a standard hotel room and if you are staying in central London then it would be difficult to improve on this most convenient of modern facilities.

This is the area of London that has busy streets lined with shops leading down to Covent Garden and Oxford Street, yet almost unnoticed is an excellent stay-away residence offering top class facilities.

Any feeling of being in the heart of the metropolis is lost the moment you enter and are met by a hearty welcome and peaceful interior devoid of any extraneous noise.

The Apart’hotel offers 187 air-conditioned apartments over more than nine floors, including 126 studios for one or two people, 49 one-bedroom apartments that sleep up to four people and 12 two-bedroom duplex apartments for up to six people.

The newly refurbished apartments are available to book for one night stays, short breaks or even longer and offer very modern contemporary design and facilities including free wi-fi.

Each apartment houses a bathroom with hairdryer, a fully-equipped kitchen area complete with cooking hobs, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, TV with satellite channels, a direct-line phone and safe deposit box. Each apartment includes flat-screen televisions, offering new decor and furnishings with a spacious open-plan kitchen style.
