Hundreds of executive jobs to go at Qantas
Qantas will undergo a major shake-up of its leadership teams, with potentially hundreds of jobs to go.
Qantas Group CEO Vanessa Hudson announced changes are coming and ‘will be communicated shortly.’
It will impact the senior leadership team.
Media speculation estimated as many as 400 will lose the jobs but Qantas responded by saying it is much less than this.
This will likely happen before Christmas.
However, it was announced that Chief Data and Information Officer Andrew Walduck and Executive Manager Inflight Experience David Kondo will be leaving.
“These changes will help us continue delivering for our customers while supporting you to do your best work in what promises to be another exciting year ahead,” the internal email said.
Several departments will be condensed to improve efficiency, and no customer facing operational jobs will be impacted.
