Hurtigruten names new Asia MD
Expedition cruise line Hurtigruten has strengthened its Asia leadership with the appointment of Damian Perry as managing director for Asia Pacific.
Perry replaces William Harber, who took over as president, the Americas.
Perry is a former CEO of Cox and Kings and also worked at major brands including Intrepid Travel, and Flight Centre.
"We believe Damian’s approach, transparency, values and expertise in partner relations combined with his strong Travel Industry knowledge make him the right person to lead our Hurtigruten APAC team transition," said Geir Kronbæck, global sales vice president at Hurtigruten.
He had been ‘pivotal’ in driving Hurtigruten growth in Australia and New Zealand during previous roles, Kronbæck said.
The line has offices in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Melbourne.
"I look forward to getting down to business with this exceptionally innovative and forward thinking company and build on the strong foundation they have established in recent years," Perry said.
