Icelolly announces Ross Matthews’ replacement

Holiday price comparison site icelolly.com has appointed Simon Lloyd as its new chief marketing officer to replace Ross Matthews who has left to join Hoseasons’ parent Awaze UK.

Lloyd, who takes up his new role on January 6, has previously held the same position at Virgin Atlantic, from 2012 to 2013.

He was most recently CMO at financial services company Auden, and he has also worked with the BBC, AXA and Superdry.

 "I am delighted to welcome Simon to the icelolly.com team as our chief marketing officer," said CEO Richard Singer. "He has an excellent track record for building brand equity within and without travel, with senior expertise in brand, CRM, insights, content, social, digital marketing and media engagement.  

"2020 is set to be an exciting time for icelolly.com as we look to raise the brand’s profile and drive differentiation. Simon’s role will be pivotal to achieve our ambitious growth targets."

Icelolly has also appointed entrepreneur Elliot Muscant as non-executive advisor. He is the co-founder and managing partner of marketing agency, Open Partners, former CEO of Dentsu Aegis and MD of MediaVest Manchester .
