IHG Americas exec to become Loews CEO
Kirk Kinsell will leave his post as president of Americas region for InterContinental Hotels Group to become the new CEO of Loews Hotels & Resorts.
Kinsell’s final day at IHG will be February 13 and he will be replaced by Elie Maalouf who will become CEO of the Americas region.
Kinsell will replace Paul Whetsell as CEO at Loews who will assume the role of vice president.
As Americas president Kinsell had 3,700 hotels under his management and was responsible for business development and performance of all hotel brands in North and South America.
He has been with IHG for 19 years and had also held various roles with the Holiday Inn brand.
He has a combined 35 years in the hospitality business and prior to IHG worked for ITT Sheraton and Trammell Crow Hotel Company.
