Independence largest low-fare hub in DC
The Independence Air hub at Washington Dulles is on its way to becoming the largest low-fare hub in America by late this summer — with 300 departures.
The airline recently began service to Stewart International Airport in New York with six daily, non-stop flights to Washington Dulles.
By later this summer, Independence will offer one-stop connections to 26 destinations, including Atlanta, Nashville and Pittsburgh.
Fares from Stewart to Washington start at $49.
Web users who visit FLY1.com and sign up for free membership to the iCLUB frequent flyer program receive an additional $25 off their first round-trip.
All flights are sold one-way, and a Saturday night stay is not required for any fare.
Independence says seat assignments can be reserved at booking times, and flights are not overbooked.
