India confirms extension of UK flight ban
The Indian Government has confirmed that the temporary suspension of all flights from the UK to India will be extended until 7 January 2021.
The extension of the travel ban had been widely expected after Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri told reporters that he foresaw a ‘slight extension of the temporary suspension”.
In an update published yesterday, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said: "On 30 December, Government of India announced that the temporary suspension of all flights from the UK to India will now be extended until 7 January 2021 11:59pm (IST).
