IndiGo marks 2,000 daily flights milestone
IndiGo has reached the milestone of being the first India airline to operate 2,000 flights daily
It comes six years after passing 1,000 flights a day.
“This milestone is more than a numerical feat; it’s a strategic leap positioning us for enhanced connectivity,” said Peter Elbers, CEO, IndiGo.
IndiGo’s fleet now numbers 330 jets which fly to 85 domestic and 32 international destinations.
The India airline has added more than 20 new international routes in the past year to Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
IndiGo’s market share in India is over 60%.
Biggest rival Air India group airlines hold a combined share of 27%.
