Indonesia AirAsia names new CEO
Indonesia AirAsia has a new chief at the helm.
The airline has named Veranita Yosephine as new CEO succeeding Dendy Kurniawan.
Kurniawan becomes president commissioner of the holding company’s board of commissioners.
The change became effective a week ago, according to a stock market filing.
It is a fast progression for Yosephine who only joined the airline in July this year as deputy CEO.
She becomes the first female chief of a major carrier in Indonesia.
Prior to joining AirAsia she held various management positions at British America Tobacco (BAT) Indonesia, supply chain director at Danone Aqua and at Kraft Heinz Co. as sales director.
