Industry pays tribute to Patrick Murphy
The travel industry has this week paid tribute to Patrick Murphy, the managing director of southwest agency Thornton's Travel Services, who died of heart failure on Wednesday.
Guild of Travel Management Companies chief executive Anne Godfrey said: “Patrick has been the GTMC representative for Thornton’s for many years and will be sadly missed. Our thoughts and sympathy go out to Patrick’s wife Carole and to the family at this sad time.”
Advantage chief executive John McEwan added: “Patrick was a long standing and active supporter of Advantage and he also served as a director on the board. Our thoughts are with Carole, his family and friends.”
