Israel reinstated on Costa cruises
Costa Cruises has reinstated calls to the Israeli ports of Ashdod and Haifa on Costa Pacifica itineraries.
It has previously removed them on seven cruises due to unrest in the area.
The cruise line has also changed itineraries for Costa Mediterranea, which will now cruise to Lisbon, Casablanca, Canary Islands and Western Mediterranean instead of Greece and Turkey.
A spokeswoman for the cruise line said the new destinations were introduced due to increased demand.
From the beginning of October to mid November 2011, five Greece and Turkey cruises will be replaced with three Lisbon, Casablanca and two Canary Islands cruises.
Two mini cruises sailing 21 and 26 November will be added between the Canary Islands programme and the positioning cruise to Abu Dhabi, where Costa Mediterranea will be deployed during winter 2011/12.
