ITB India cancelled

Wednesday, 05 Mar, 2020 0

The inaugural ITB India trade fair will have to wait another year to launch.

Scheduled for April 15 to 17 2020 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, it has been cancelled and rescheduled for April 7 to 9, 2021 at the same Mumbai venue.

"There is much uncertainty in the region and around the world. The recent developments continue to be challenging, and the upcoming months are very hard to foresee at this stage," ITB said.

The cancellation ‘ensures the safety of ITB India’s exhibitors, buyers and visitors,’ it said.

It marks the third ITB event cancellation in a matter of weeks.

May’s ITB China was cancelled last month, followed by the surprise scrapping of ITB Berlin just days before it was due to start.

That leaves ITB Asia, which has time on its side as it takes place each October in Singapore.
