It’s beginning…at the Rink in Rockefeller Center
The holiday season has officially arrived in New York this week with the opening of the Rink at Rockefeller Center.
Offering outdoor skating in midtown Manhattan since 1936, the Rink this season is moving with the times, for the first time taking reservations in advance online, at https://therink.smartertakeout.net/.
In addition to skating in the shadow of the tree, the Rink is offering packages with other New York seasonal sites, including the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and Broadway shows, plus VIP rinkside igloos serving hot chocolate and cookies, First Skate programs on fresh ice at 7 am, and breakfasts with Santa.
If are more inclined to romance than exercise, there are evening hours — and even private time at center ice for a marriage proposal on skates.
