Jeremy Ellis to leave TUI UK
TUI UK & Ireland has said its marketing and customer experience director Jeremy Ellis will leave the business after 27 years at the end of May.
A spokeswoman for the operator said: "Jeremy is taking some time off before deciding what challenge he’d like next."
Ellis has led the marketing division since 2011 and has held various commercial, product and marketing roles since 1991 when he joined Thomson Holidays as a graduate.
His first role was planning Mediterranean destinations in the Summer Sun and Winter Sun departments.
In 1995 he headed up the product development team, launching launched the first no-frills holiday product to be sold online.
In 2008 he launched the first TUI Sensatori hotel and went on to establish clear brand propositions for Thomson and First Choice, including making First Choice ‘the home of all inclusive’.
Ellis said, "I feel very lucky to have had such a long and varied career in TUI."
He will be replaced by Katie McAlister who will join the TUI UK & Ireland board as chief marketing officer from June 1.
She has been with TUI for 19 years, most recently as digital director.
