Jet Airways names new CEO
Jet Airways has tapped Delta Air Lines executive Vinay Dube as new chief executive officer.
Dube is an industry veteran and joins from Delta where he is senior vice president for Asia Pacific.
Jet Airways has not had a permanent CEO since early 2016 when Cramer Ball resigned.
It has since had Gaurang Shetty and then Amit Agarwal as acting CEOs.
In a release Jet Airways says Dube brings ‘an established track record of business restructuring at large, complex, multi-national organisations.’
"I am delighted that Vinay Dube will be joining Jet Airways. An Indian American, Vinay brings an enviable combination of smart and sharp mindset with global exposure to industry best practices. I am sure Jet Airways will gain substantially from his wealth of experience and industry insight," said Naresh Goyal, chairman of Jet Airways.
Dube will head the executive leadership team and focus on future growth by leveraging its partnership with partner Etihad Airways.
