Jet2.com moves into Scotland
Budget carrier Jet2.com is to make Edinburgh its sixth UK base.
The airline is to launch flights from the Scottish capital to Murcia on April 8 next year, with tickets now on sale starting at £33 one way.
The airline is seeking suggestions from Scottish travellers about other destinations they would like to see served from Edinburgh by emailing [email protected].
Chief executive Philip Meeson said: “Murcia is just the beginning for us – we are really keen to understand where people would like to fly to. We are flying to Murcia as we have been inundated with requests from the people of Scotland.”
The move into Scotland follows Jet2.com announcing plans to fly from Blackpool in addition to Leeds/Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and Belfast.
