Jet2 to launch Glasgow flights
Jet2 is launching a series of routes from Glasgow next April, making it a second Scottish base.
The airline, which already operates from Edinburgh, will start by offering nine destinations from Glasgow.
The destinations are Alicante, Dalaman, Faro, Nice, Majorca, Tunisia (Monastir), Paphos, Sharm El Sheikh, and Tenerife.
Fares start from £36.99 per person, one way and including taxes.
In response to the news, EasyJet immediately issued a statement.
Paul Simmons, UK General Manager, said: “As the UK and Glasgow’s largest airline, we have been flying from Glasgow the last 15 years (since the launch of easyJet’s first ever route from Luton to Glasgow) and have seen many airlines come and go, we continue to be the airline of choice for Scotland.”
