JetBlue promotes Joanna Geraghty to COO
JetBlue Airways has named Joanna Geraghty to president and chief operating officer among a slew of other leadership changes.
Geraghty reports to CEO Robin Hayes and oversees day-to-day operations, with a focus on driving customer service excellence, as well as enhancing operational performance.
She will also head up JetBlue’s commercial team which is led by Marty St. George, executive vice president, commercial and planning.
Geraghty joined JetBlue back in 2005 and most recently held the post of executive vice president, customer experience.
Other senior positions include executive vice president, chief people officer from 2010-2014 and vice president and associate general counsel and director of litigation and regulatory affairs.
"This new structure will allow focus on the core airline business while providing an organizational structure to innovate and grow in the travel and vacations space. Joanna has played an important role in JetBlue, and I look forward to working closely with her for many years to come," Hayes said.
Other leadership changes include Warren Christie as senior vice president safety, security and fleet operations, and Ian Deason, who adds inflight and customer support to his existing leadership of the airports team as senior vice president, customer experience.
Both will report to Geraghty.
