Jim, Ria and the kids have no worries in Fiji
Melburnians, Jim and Ria Votskos and their two kids Chloe and Evan said that their friends thought they were mad going to Fiji on holiday and before they left Aus, they also had some moments of doubt, which soon evaporated when they arrived here, with the recent coup having no impact whatsoever on their holiday.
They had stayed a week in the Fiji Beach Resort managed by Hilton, which The Mole is visiting today and Ria described as absolutely amazing and fantastic, but The Mole caught up with them on an excellent Southe Sea Cruises transfer to another island to visit some friends for the day.
Amazingly, they had booked to go to Thailand, but after the coup there they cancelled and booked to go to Fiji and the rest us history!!
Ria said that while she had some concerns becaue they were travelling with kids, they had not seen or experienced anything at all of any concern, with Fiji just as they expected it to be with amazing people and all the activties they would ever want and coral reefs right outside their resort bure door on the islands.
Jim said he would be telling everyone in Melbourne to come to Fiji, because the people of Fiji deserve to be supported and they are the only ones suffering as a result of the coup. He added that it was business as usual here as it always been and always will be.
A very relaxed, suntanned, refreshed and reinvigorated Votskos family will be winging their way back to Melbourne spreading the word abotu Fiji without any doubt!
