Journey Beyond acquires NZ coach tour operator Grand Pacific Tours
Australian travel firm Journey Beyond has announced the acquisition of New Zealand based coach holiday operator Grand Pacific Tours.
It marks Journey Beyond’s first acquisition outside Australia.
Grand Pacific Tours is a major player in New Zealand’s coach touring market.
“We are excited to welcome Grand Pacific Tours to our growing portfolio of brands and experiences. This marks an exciting next phase of growth for us, further expanding our offerings into New Zealand,” it said.
“Journey Beyond looks forward to building on the incredible work of Grand Pacific’s founder Peter Harding and his team.”
Grand Pacific Tours was founded nearly 30 years ago.
Grand Pacific Tours offers ‘Ultimate Small Group Tours’ in Business class coaches for up to 20 travellers.
It also has mid-size group tours in premium economy 32-seater coaches.
They are fully inclusive tours, with curated itineraries that span well known and under the radar experiences across New Zealand.
Founder Peter Harding will stay on as Executive General Manager to enable a smooth transition, along with General Manager Stacia Morris and all the Grand Pacific team.
