Ken Clifford launches bespoke travel service
Scottish travel agent Ken Clifford has launched his own travel agency based in Glasgow called ‘ Touch of Class Travel’.
It will provide a bespoke service, offering clients ‘Travel by Appointment’ at weekends, evenings, and in their own homes.
Clifford, who has been in the travel industry for over 33 years, previously managed his own agency with a turnover in excess of £6 million.
A Fellow of the Institure of Travel & Tourism, for 20 years he managed all the travel for Howard Hughes’ business, Hughes Microelectronics, and was the first to introduce the ‘implant travel service’ within Motorola in East Kilbride.
He is joined in his new venture by Gino Giubarelli, a senior travel consultant with 18 years experience.
Clifford said: “Whilst the internet has certainly made holiday destinations and choices more accessible, for time poor, cash-rich people, for the discerning client, looking for something special, there’s nothing like getting an expert on board to do the hard graft for you.
“After all, why spend hours surfing the web to put together your own travel arrangements when an expert can do it for you at absolutely no cost to you?”
The new company is a member of the Global Travel Group.
