Kenworthy joins Air Transat
Former GB Airways, British Airways and VLM executive Peter Kenworthy has been appointed commercial director of Canadian leisure carrier Air Transat.
In the newly-created role he will be responsible for raising the awareness of the airline with trade partners, promote newly launched consumer website www.airtransat.co.uk, as well as to develop a multi-channel distribution strategy for the U.K. and Ireland business to Canada.
The airline’s vice-president sales and revenues, long haul, Gilles Lamontagne, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mr Kenworthy within the Air Transat team. He is a remarkable negotiator with in-depth understanding of the aviation and travel industries and is the perfect person to take forward the UK and Ireland operations.”
Kenworthy said: “With its extremely competitive prices, commissions to agents, no minimum stay restrictions on any fare, open-jaw itineraries, a modern Airbus fleet and great punctuality, Air Transat is a strong contender in the choice of scheduled airlines serving Canada.”
