Kimpton Hotels opens new property in Florida
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is expanding in South Florida with the management of The Angler’s boutique hotel in Miami.
Originally constructed in 1931 and later restored in 2007, The Angler’s hotel, on South Beach, currently has 48 rooms split amongst four separate buildings.
Work will begin next year on developing a new tower that will add 83 rooms and a rooftop pool.
This is the fourth Kimpton property in South Florida. The hotel group already operates EPIC, in downtown Miami; Surfcomber, Miami, South Beach and Vero Beach Hotel and Spa.
The new project also emphasizes Kimpton’s continued expansion with nine new projects announced this year, including new hotels in Austin, Grand Cayman, Milwaukee, Palm Springs, Pittsburgh, San Antonio, Savannah, Sedona, and Seattle.
