King crowned sales chief at FCm
FCm Travel Solutions is to develop a European sales team following the appointment of Kevin King as EMEA sales director.
Based in the UK, he will build a European sales team including the appointment in early 2007 of an EMEA sales manager and a global bid writer.
King was head of sales at The Travel Company where he played a key role in developing global business as director of sales EMEA for the Synergi network.
Since January last year, he has been sales director at Business Travel Management where he was also responsible for the company’s relationship within the global Radius group of travel management companies.
King has been a member of the Institute of Travel Management since 1998 holding key posts on the supplier committee for some four years. He has been a director of the ITM for two years.
Alan Spence, managing director EMEA, FCm Travel Solutions said: “He brings a wealth of global sales experience with him, but is also valuable to us as he has worked with a number of former Synergi partners, such as DER, who are now part of the FCm network.
“Since signing a regional partnership agreement with DER to manage central Europe, our multi-national business has gained considerable momentum.
“Our market position in the UK and Germany means that we spend around 50% of our time talking to multi-national clients. The UK and Germany are generating exciting opportunities for FCm across clients of all sizes, but especially mid-market corporates.”
