Klook appoints first chief commercial officer
Fast growing tours and activities platform Klook has hired its first chief commercial officer.
Former VP of partnerships at Agoda, Wilfred Fan joins as CCO and will oversee the supply business development and operations units as well as overall strategy.
He will also focus on further developing destination services.
Fan was a founding team member of Agoda where he introduced a direct hotel contracting strategy.
He held a number of senior positions such as leading partnership teams, managing Asia operations, corporate development and strategic planning.
The appointment comes at a strategic time for Klook, after raising US$300 million to date and expanding beyond Asia to Europe and the US.
"It’s an exciting time to be in this space. The emergence of mobile has captured traditionally offline in-destination bookings, and merchants are now more ready than ever to adopt new technology," Fan said.
Klook operates from 20 offices globally and lists over 80,000 offerings in more than 250 destinations.
