Korea calls on PSY to help promote tourism
The Korean Tourism Organisation has enrolled the help of South Korean pop star PSY, of Gangnam Style fame.
The Korean Tourism Organisation (KTO) will feature the singer in a new video series to promote tourism to South Korea.
The series titled “PSY’s Wiki Korea”, inspired by the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, has the South Korean rap artist highlighting some of the country’s major attractions.
These include samgyeopsal, a Korean pork belly barbecue, and Myeongdong, South Korea’s famed shopping enclave.
The 35-year-old internet sensation exploded onto the international scene with the success of his song Gangnam Style, the video for which was the most viewed ever on the video-sharing website YouTube.
