La Quinta: going international

Sunday, 19 Oct, 2004 0

La Quinta entered the international lodging arena with the opening of a new 50-room hotel in British Columbia. And that’s just the beginning, the company says.

The La Quinta Inn-Vancouver Airport is in Richmond.

The company’s first international hotel has many of La Quinta’s standard offerings, but also has some unique features. These include a grand, two-story lobby and a spacious rooftop lounge.

The hotel also offers a complimentary continental breakfast, an indoor heated swimming pool with a spa, a full-service business center, onsite guest laundry services and complimentary airport shuttle service.

The new La Quinta has four different room choices.

The hotel will participate in the La Quinta Returns program that offers a variety of benefits.

La Quinta is generally known as a mid-priced, limited-service chain.

Said Alan Tallis, executive vice president and chief development officer for La Quinta Corporation:

“As market conditions continue to improve, we fully expect to continue our international expansion in Canada and beyond.”
