LATAM taps Whatsapp to speed up Covid verification
LATAM Airlines Group recently implemented ‘Ready to Fly,’ an optional digital service to enhance the customer experience.
It streamlines the documentation requirements for travel during current Covid measures
LATAM passengers will be able to submit their required health documents by Whatsapp, between six and 48 hours before their flight.
It facilitates the organisation of documentation and their advanced review by the airline.
“This new functionality adds to the different tools that the group has made available to passengers to improve their travel experience, reduce pre-flight processing times, and optimises time at the airport,” said Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Customers of LATAM Airlines Group.
Passengers will receive an email with a link to the LATAM Airlines WhatsApp account and then must enter their travel information.
The system requests passport details, the mandatory health form, and an updated Covid-19 test result or vaccination certificate.
Once approved, passengers will receive a confirmation message and will be ready to fly.
