Le Restaurant Presents a Culinary Surprise
Le Restaurant at L’Hotel and its Chef Philippe Belissent has introduced a culinary feast called Philippe’s Surprise. Each of the dishes on this six-course menu showcases the talents of Paris’ culinary talent, and each course is also accompanied by the Maitre d’s suggestion for the wine. Philippe will present the finale to the guests in person along with a few words about his technique and philosophy.
Brought to you by the ambitious team behind Cowley Manor, (the country house hotel located in the heart of the Cotswolds in the English countryside) the British hoteliers from A Curious Group of Hotels continue to develop and enhance their Parisian hotel, with particular focus on its restaurant, where the A-list come to dine.
Designed by Jacques Garcia, Le Restaurant combines rich fabrics and a contemporary style to create a French restaurant with a twist of British eccentricity. British-tailored velvet uniforms, Wedgewood crockery and Vera Wang crystal add to the “Entente Cordiale” at L’Hotel.
Chef Philippe Belissent was formerly Sous-Chef at the three-star Michelin restaurant, Ledoyen in Paris, before taking over the kitchen at Le Restaurant in 2005. L’Hotel was already the most celebrated place to stay on the Left Bank; and Philippe immediately made Le Restaurant a success in its own right.
The new Degustation Surprise six-course tasting menu starts at 125 Euros (or 95 Euros without wine) per person.
L’Hotel and Le Restaurant are located on the Left Bank in St. Germain-des-Pres. An easy walk to the Louvre, the Musee d’Orsay and Notre Dame, whilst the Boulevard St. Germain and its boutiques, Cafe Flore and Les Deux Magots, direct Metro Lines to Gare du Nord and Eurostar are 150m away.
L’Hotel Paris is located in Paris’ Left Bank, minutes from the cultural riches of France’s artistic and literary heart. Each of its 20 rooms is a recreation of the styles to have swept France since the 19th century.
