Lewsey cruising again
Mark Lewsey has returned to the cruise industry after announcing his departure from Amadeus.
Mr Lewsey will take up the position of director of commercial development at Sun Cruises on 16 September. Before working for Amadeus as its director of marketing, he worked for Silversea Cruises for five years in marketing and product development for EMEA.
It will be Mr Lewsey’s responsibility to expand marketing and sales initiatives with in-house touroperators and third parties. Sun Cruises managing director, Frank Pullman, said: “Mark’s previous experience is the key to this next stage in our development”.
Sun Cruises, which has its headquarters in Manchester, is part of MyTravel. It has four ships, Carousel, Sundream and Sunbird, which offer predominantly Meditteranean and Caribbean cruises, and a fourth ship, Seawing, which is subchartered to Royal Olympic Cruises.
