Lindblad Expeditions to launch European river cruises
Expedition line Lindblad Expeditions has partnered with Transcend Cruises in a multi-year charter agreement to introduce European river cruises.
The initial agreement with Transcend Cruises will run through at least 2028, and will see a notable increase in annual European river departures operated on behalf of the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions co-brand.
“We are thrilled for the upcoming launch of our unique river expeditions in Europe – an experience our guests have long desired,” said Natalya Leahy, CEO, Lindblad Expeditions.
“We’ve curated these river voyages with the same care and expertise that define all of our expeditions.”
Working together with Transcend Cruises, they are developing a series of customised itineraries to explore deeper and further into the river-side cities, towns and villages of Europe
Each voyage will be staffed by one of the brand’s expedition leaders, several knowledgeable field staff and at least one National Geographic expert.
Staff will guide guests on private tours and exclusive tastings.
For half a century, Lindblad Expeditions has explored iconic waterways – including the Peruvian Amazon, the Nile in Egypt and the Columbia and Snake Rivers in the United States’ Pacific Northwest
This partnership will mark a first for the co-brand, which has never offered river expeditions in Europe before.
