London airports disrupted by Tour de France
London City Airport and London Luton Airport are facing disruption today as the Tour de France coming to London leads to ‘significant’ road closures in East London.
London City Airport said it has been working closely with TFL and Tour partners to maintain road access for as long as possible on the day.
It said: "TDF is coming to London on July 7 and there will be significant road closures in East London from 10am to 6pm.
"The event is expected to attract huge crowds to London. Staff and passengers are encouraged to use the DLR.
"If you have to drive allow extra time for your journey. Traffic marshals will be on hand to guide road users along the diversions and towards the airport."
London Luton Airport urged passengers to allow extra time saying that the Tour de France was disrupting roads and public transport from 10am.
