London Stansted prepping for busy half-term
London Stansted is gearing up to welcome up to 840,000 passengers to the airport during the upcoming October half-term holiday.
Between Saturday 25 October and Sunday 2 November, passengers will be heading to popular destinations across Europe and beyond, with Turkey, the Canary Islands, Spain, and Portugal among the top holiday choices.
Further afield, Dubai, Amman and destinations across North Africa remain firm favourites for warmer temperatures.
Across the half-term period, around 400,000 passengers are expected to depart from London Stansted, with 440,000 arriving in the UK.
Sunday 26 and Monday 27 October are forecast to be the busiest days, with more than 52,000 passengers set to fly out on Sunday alone.
Anita Harrison, Customer Operations Director at London Stansted, said: “The October half-term is always a really busy and exciting time. We’re expecting strong passenger numbers again this year and our teams will be on hand throughout the week to help passengers enjoy a smooth start to their journeys.”
London Stansted cites Iberian destinations Alicante, Palma and Faro as top picks for the holidays, as well as Turkiye and Dubai.
