London still tops with Cheapflights

London remained the most popular destination on Cheapflight.com despite predictions the city will suffer a drop in tourists following the bomb attacks.

“I don’t think it’s as bad as people initially thought,” chief executive David Soskin is reported as saying in The Guardian.

He admitted that traffic dropped dramatically immediately following July 7 but was back to normal by July 10 and continued to be the site’s most sought-after city.

Among US visitors to Cheapflights, London was the fourth most popular destination and the only non-American city in the top 20.

A survey late last month suggested 31% of the British public, 32% of French and 20% of Germans did not want to travel to London.
