lowcostbeds plans Asia expansion

Thursday, 04 Dec, 2014 0

Swiss based bed bank Lowcostbeds has announced plans to enlarge its portfolio of directly contracted hotels in Asia offered to its network of 41,000 global travel agents.

The company will support the current growth and expanding operations team by moving to a bigger office.

Lowcostbeds has also appointed Ralf Zimmer as regional purchasing director to lead the team of buyers and market managers in Asia Pacific.

"I’m pleased to be joining the fastest growing global bed bank; lowcostbeds brings hotel partners demand from 47 countries worldwide. Our sales network has delivered huge growth to our hotel partners in the USA, Latin America and Europe this year and in 2015 we are determined to match that level of supply in APAC," Zimmer said.

"We aim to have over 10,000 more directly contracted hotels within the next 18 months" he added.

"We believe the falling price of oil, the strengthening of the dollar and the growth in our demand are key indicators telling us we must add more directly contracted hotels for our global distribution partners," said Adam Alford, lowcostbeds managing director Asia Pacific.

Part of the lowcosttravelgroup, lowcostbeds is a 10-year old global, trade only bed bank with an inventory of 250,000 hotels.
